Update

I am absolutely horrible at keeping up with this website. Seems every time I get on here, I am apologizing for not writing more posts. In case you’re wondering, it’s not that I hate writing posts, it’s just that I’m always working on other projects. I know, I  know. How are you supposed to know about my projects if I don’t post about them? Well . . . here’s an update on what I’ve been doing while not keeping up with the responsibility of my website:

I recently finished a second edit on a new project–a far less humorous book than How Do You Do, Mrs. Wiley?. Okay, not really funny at all. For those of you who like surprise endings, you’ll love this one. This book is told in first person through the eyes of several characters. I’m really excited about it and can’t wait to release the title (coming soon, I promise). I am hoping to release this book some time in April or May. Stay tuned for the details.

I am now editing another Grace Wiley book. My hope is to release it some time this fall. If you loved How Do You Do, Mrs. Wiley?, well, I hope the second doesn’t disappoint. I don’t think it will. You’ll be able to spend time with many of the characters from How Do You Do, Mrs. Wiley?, plus you’ll meet a few new characters (Lincoln and Howard to name a couple).

What else have I been doing? . . . Spending time with my family, cooking, teaching adult education classes, running (my favorite exercise that also serves as think time for books and a general clearing of the head [great therapy]), and making baby dolls (one of my new favorite hobbies). I should post some pictures of these dolls. I’ve posted some on Facebook. I’ve made thirteen dolls total–I’m working on number fourteen. I could lists tons more I’m doing, but you get the idea. I’m trying to dig my way out of the sorryIhaven’tpostedlately hole. I would say I’ll try to do better, but I’ve said that before, so I’ll just leave you with a promise to post when I have exciting news or worthy updates.

Finally, if you’ve read this far, then you deserve an extra scoop. To celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day, this Monday, March 17th, How Do You Do, Mrs. Wiley? will be a free kindle download. I love Saint Patrick’s Day–Every March I pretend I’m Irish (My grandmother’s maiden name is Neat. That could be an Irish name, right?). Who knows. Maybe there really is a tad of Irish in me. A girl can dream, can’t she?

Hope your day is great,

Missi
